DECISION

The Committee, after having considered the application and relevant documentation, is satisfied that:

    1. the application complies with the requirements of the Act, Act 34 of 1995;

    2. the act, omission or offence to which the application relates are acts associated with a political objective committed in the course of the conflicts of the past;

    3. that the relevant facts relating to the particular offence have been disclosed.

2. Amnesty is therefore GRANTED for having been in unlawful possession of an AK47 rifle and 44 rounds of ammunition on or about 30th April 1994 at or near Denver in Johannesburg.
